There is a false myth about the word "fat" that makes us immediately reject it. When we talk about fat, we always think negatively, but we must remember that there are two types of fat: saturated fats, which we would call bad, and unsaturated fats, which we should include in our diet.
What do we want to achieve by including good fats? During exercise, it creates more energy, which we can use very well to optimize our workout. When we have this extra energy, we will improve our athletic performance and therefore we will be able to train our muscles better. Moreover, with a healthy fat intake after the workout, we will have a better recovery from the physical activity.
In order to burn "bad" fats, our body in turn needs "good" fats. This eliminates the multiple saturated fats. Healthy fats also promote good blood circulation and control blood cholesterol levels. You can find healthy fats in foods like olive oil, avocado or nuts. However, we must remember that we should also consume these foods in moderation.
